Note :

Attempt five questions from Unit – I to IV, selecting one question from each Unit. These questions shall carry 14 marks each. Question No. 9 (Unit – V) is compulsory and each question in this Unit shall carry 3 marks.

UNIT – I

  1. Define the Tort and explain essential elements of Tort.
  2. Discuss the liability of state for the Torts Committed by its servants.

UNIT – II

  1. Explain the rule of foreseeability in determination of remoteness of damages.
  2. Describe the tort of negligence with the help of decided cases.

UNIT – III

  1. What is Nuisance ? Explain the different types of nuisance.
  2. Explain the difference between libel and slander.
    When slander becomes actionable per se ?

UNIT – IV

  1. Explain the functions and powers of the State Commission under Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
  2. Discuss the composition and procedure of functioning of National Commission under Consumer Protection Act.

UNIT – V

  1. Write short notes on the following :

(i) Defamation
(ii) Assault
(iii) Consumer
(iv) Motive
(v) Tort
(vi) Nervous shock
(vii) Trespass
(viii) Battery
